Lawn areas are mowed weekly during the growing season and as needed during the dormant season.  To preserve the environment, we practice “grass-cycling” whenever possible.  Cutting heights are raised to a maximum of 3″ during droughts to help your grass tolerate the dry conditions.

Curbs, walks, and beds are edged twice monthly during the growing season and for the remainder of the year as needed. 

Lawn areas and shrub beds are treated with pre-emergent herbicide in early spring to control summer annual grasses and broadleaf weeds.  Post-emergence herbicides are used as needed in summer months to control unwanted grasses.

Young shurbs and trees are fertilized with a micronutrient balanced fertilizer in the spring and fall.  This promotes deep green color, vigor and winter hardiiness.  Lawn areas are fertilized four time per year to promote root depth and maintain a vibrant color. 

As needed, we will apply fungicides and insecticides to treat problem areas in the lawn and landscape beds.  We practice I.P.M. (integrated Pest Management) on all properties to reduce the need for chemical use whenever possible. 

We also apply preventative flea and tick treatments to keep pests out of your yard and away from your family and pets. 

Shrubs are trimmed as needed and trees may be pruned up to 15 feet above the ground.  This encourages healthy growth and creates a clean, neat appearance during the growing season. 

Leaf removal from focal areas is performed on each visit during the fall, with a final clean up after all leaves have fallen.

Besides making your beds neat, a defined mulch or bed covering, helps to protect plants from drought and cold.  We suggest spring and fall mulching. 

Fall aeration and overseeding provides the most stable climate for seeds to germinate.  Our team will review your lawn and discuss the benefits of one or both services.
